WSIS Award – Nomination of MDPA Project as Champion

The International Telecom Union (ITU) annually organises World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes, in recognition of ICT-related initiatives and projects by member states. This is a unique prestigious global platform to identify and showcase success stories.

The “GIS Assets Management System for Local Authorities” project, submitted by MDPA for Mauritius, has been nominated among the 72 Champion Projects for WSIS Prizes 2025

Out of 972 projects submitted globally, 360 were nominated for the Online Voting.

The GIS project garnered significant public support, ranking among the most voted in its category “Information and communication infrastructure”.

18 winning projects will be announced together with 72 champion projects at the WSIS Prize 2025 Ceremony.
