Awareness Campaigns:

  • Promoting good digital citizenship involves the responsible, ethical, and informed use of technology, especially in online environments. As part of its commitment to building a digitally responsible society, the MDPA has undertaken a series of awareness initiatives focusing on cybersecurity, data protection, and online behavior.

In collaboration with Computer Emergency Response Team of Mauritius (CERT-MU), MDPA conducted interactive awareness sessions on Cybersecurity Best Practices and Online Safety, addressing critical issues such as cyberbullying, online fraud, and the spread of fake news.

MDPA also works closely with the Data Protection Office (DPO) to deliver sessions on Data Protection, Privacy, and Informed Consent, helping users understand their rights and responsibilities in the digital space. Furthermore, in partnership with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), MDPA organises awareness programmes aimed at educating young adults on Information and Communication Services, promoting safer and more effective use of digital tools.
