DITEX 2025

MDPA Engages the Public with Innovative Digital Initiatives at DITEX 2025

The Mauritius Digital Promotion Agency (MDPA) proudly participated in DITEX 2025, held from 16–18 May at the SVICC in Pailles, where it showcased some of its most impactful initiatives to the public. The 3-day exhibition offered MDPA a dynamic platform to promote digital transformation, raise awareness on key programmes, and engage directly with citizens and stakeholders.

MDPA’s presence at DITEX 2025 featured three core areas:

Digital Proficiency Course (DPC)

Visitors were introduced to the Digital Proficiency Course, a national initiative aimed at improving digital literacy across communities. MDPA representatives provided live demonstrations of the Learning Management System (LMS) and online registration platform, guiding attendees through the enrolment process and explaining course content. Many participants expressed genuine interest in joining the course, with some initiating their registration on-site. Informative flyers were distributed to support post-event engagement.

Digital Lab (DLOG) – An Immersive Tech Experience

MDPA’s Digital Lab was stationed at the main entrance of the exhibition hall, offering a series of interactive demonstrations with cutting-edge technologies. Visitors experienced Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Robotics, IoT, and AI applications through themed sessions held throughout the day. Each session was designed to show how emerging technologies can enhance daily life, from smart living and healthcare to creative digital expression and online safety. Several community representatives and visitors expressed interest in hosting the Digital Lab in their own localities.

MAUSIGN – Certificate Authority

The MAUSIGN digital signature platform was another key highlight at the MDPA booth. Staff provided detailed explanations of how the platform works, the different types of digital certificates available, and how MAUSIGN can support secure and paperless transactions for both individuals and businesses. Many visitors left with a better understanding of digital trust services and the benefits of transitioning to secure electronic documentation.

Strengthening Digital Engagement

MDPA’s participation at DITEX 2025 not only showcased its ongoing commitment to digital innovation but also created a valuable opportunity to:

  • Increase public awareness of its training and technology-based services.
  • Provide meaningful, hands-on exposure to transformative digital tools.
  • Build interest and engagement in digital upskilling programmes.
  • Foster connections with community groups for future collaboration.

By engaging directly with citizens, MDPA continues to promote a vision of a digitally inclusive and innovative Mauritius, where technology empowers individuals and transforms communities.
