The International Telecom Union (ITU) annually organises World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes, in recognition of ICT-related initiatives and projects by member states. This is a unique prestigious global platform to identify and showcase success stories.<\/h6>

The “GIS Assets Management System for Local Authorities<\/strong>” project, submitted by MDPA for Mauritius,\u00a0has been nominated among the 72 Champion Projects for WSIS Prizes 2025<\/p>

Out of 972 projects submitted globally, 360 were nominated for the Online Voting.<\/p>

The\u00a0GIS\u00a0project garnered significant public support, ranking among the most voted in its category \u201cInformation and communication infrastructure<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>

18 winning projects will be announced together with 72 champion projects at the WSIS Prize 2025 Ceremony.<\/p>
