in Primary Schools (VRPS)<\/strong> project is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, implemented by the Mauritius Digital Promotion Agency (MDPA). This project has been approved under the National Budget for Financial Year 2025\/2026 will fully be funded by the MITCI\/MDPA.<\/p><p>This forward-thinking project seeks to elevate the standard of education by introducing <strong>Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) learning<\/strong> experiences to students of <strong>Standards IV, V, and VI<\/strong> in <strong>state-owned\/managed primary schools<\/strong>. The objective is to enrich students\u2019 conceptual understanding and foster higher engagement across key subjects, including Mathematics, Science, History &amp; Geography, Health &amp; Physical Education, and integrated components such as Citizenship Education, Values, Body Awareness, and ICT.<\/p><p>The project is designed for <strong>phased-wise implementation<\/strong>, beginning with a <strong>Phase 1 involving 35 schools in 2025<\/strong>, and expanding progressively until <strong>Phase 5<\/strong> to reach <strong>215 schools by 2029<\/strong>, inclusive of Rodrigues.
