Digital Awareness Programme (KOREK/MauPASS)
Project Overview
The KOREK National Campaign is a flagship implementation project of the Blueprint for Mauritius 2025–2029, supporting the Government’s vision of a citizen-centric digital nation. By promoting the KOREK Super App, the campaign accelerates the adoption of digital public services, strengthens digital inclusion, improves digital literacy, and builds trust through secure authentication (2FA). Through nationwide outreach, onboarding assistance, and targeted support for elderly persons, students, SMEs, and vulnerable groups, KOREK helps ensure that no citizen is left behind in Mauritius’ digital transformation journey.
The campaign also directly supports MDPA’s strategic directions of Digital Inclusion and Skills Development, Trusted Digital Services, and National Digital Transformation Support while contributing to a more connected, inclusive, and digitally empowered Mauritius.
Under the direction of MITCI, the MDPA is conducting awareness sessions at Community Centres, Social Welfare Centres, Schools, Parastatal Organisations, Private Companies and SMEs. The campaign includes hands-on demonstrations and assisted on-boarding to ensure that citizens can effectively access government digital services through MauPASS and the KOREK mobile application.
Objectives
The main objectives of the National Digital Awareness Programme are as follows:
- Increase adoption and confident use of digital public services through practical demonstrations and hands-on assistance, particularly targeting elderly persons, vulnerable groups and citizens with limited digital literacy.
- Boost MauPASS registrations and KYC activations by providing assisted onboarding during awareness sessions.
- Promote the uptake and utilisation of the KOREK Super App as the secure gateway to Government digital services, including the use of two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Expand digital inclusion nationwide, including Rodrigues Island, by ensuring that citizens across all regions have access to awareness sessions and practical guidance.
About KOREK
KOREK! is the official Super App of Mauritius, launched in January 2026 as an upgraded, rebranded version of the MauPass mobile application. It serves as a centralized, secure digital platform for citizens to access government services including penalty points, digital driving license information, and real-time GIS news aiming to unify multiple platforms into one.
This Super App serves as a crucial component of Mauritius’s digital transformation.
Instead of going to different offices or websites for information, you can now use KOREK! Super App to:
- Get important information.
- Access public services
- Receive official news
- Simplify interactions with public services
Citizens can now securely access KOREK! through MauPass and navigate the application, which is designed as a central gateway to government digital services.
KOREK! Super App can be downloaded on your smart phone from Google Play, App Store
and Huawei App Gallery as per guidelines given.
KOREK! Super App Awareness Campaign
The MDPA Team is going towards the Citizens in the following venues around the island to explain how to access and use the official KOREK! Super App. This Super App allows to access various government and digital services in one single place. It is being updated each month with a new service.
